I was born in Kenya and had lived in four different states and two countries by the time I was 21. I love traveling, meeting new people, seeing new cultures and places. I like to use photography as a medium to share those places, cultures and experiences with others who either are unable, or unwilling to travel.
The first time I bought a camera was when I was 19 and I have been hooked on photography ever since! I love the creative outlet it provides as well as the relational connection that can be shared via photographs of a place, memory or person. When I was 19 I moved to California to work at Heavenly Ski Resort for the winter semester and bought a camera to document the trip as well as the beauty of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and California as a whole. I worked on the Parking team for the first couple months and was always eager to take the early shift to be able to arrive and take pictures of the sun’s rays off the mountains at first light!
After Heavenly my love for travel and photography has grown and I have been fortunate enough to travel to over 90 Cities in more than 20 countries across five continents all the while taking pictures and studying and leaning different photography techniques and styles to develop them into my own.
My background in Product and Graphic design have helped me focus my continually learning of photography techniques into a type of art form for me.
My goal in photography is to give the viewer the gift of not just to beholding beauty, but more importantly an emotional connection with that beauty and, ultimately, God, who creates such breathtaking beauty.
