I took this picture on a photography trip with some of my good friends from North Point Community Church when I used to be in charge of customer service and support for their all Apple client side infrastructure. Three of us woke up early and headed up to Helen, GA for their annual hot air balloon race. When we we arrived we were a little disappointed with the overcast skies, but as the day went on, it did clear up a bit and we were able to get some great shots. If you have never been to a hot air balloon event, I highly recommend it. The colors were beautiful and the “balloners” seemed to be a very friendly bunch allowing us to get right up close and make our images as we pleased. It was a great photography outing, but would also make for a good family outing as well.
