Temple of a Thousand Buddha’s
My wife and I just returned to our current home in Ulsan, South Korea from a 6 day trip to Japan. We spent most of our time in Kyoto and if you have never been there and can make the journey, we highly recommend it. The city is full of ancient temples, shrines, palaces, beautiful zen gardens and many other points of interest. You will not get bored!
I took this picture at Sanjusangen-do Temple also know as Rengeō-in” (蓮華王院), or Hall of the Lotus King. The main Temple building is currently the longest wooden structure in the world and houses an impressive set of over 1,000 gold plated life sized buddhas. This is a three exposure HDR panoramic of four pictures stitched together.
See it big here.
