I’m a bit of a squeeze for that flag, but this picture resonates with the allure of a brass band. The simple pattern of Old Glory stands out against the background of tapestries, as if to contrast our young nations cultural history, to those that are more complex. Still the bold colors of the flag stand out, making a striking allusion to the bravado of the American spirit.
